Our Grade II listed shop is situated on the cobbled square next to the ancient Saxon Crosses. In our family since 1875, we specialise in high class grocery products and have won national awards such as Delicatessen of the Year and Best Cheese Shop of the Year.

We specialise in cheese, stocking over 300 varieties of British and continental cheeses. We also produce our own range of blended cheeses. Over 40 different varieties including Bowland, Sticky Toffee cheese, chilli & Lime, Lemon Crumble, Tewksbury, Mango & Ginger, Spicy Jack, Madras Curry. We sell nationally, supplying many high street supermarkets and internationally through our export agent. We have been winning medals and awards for the last 20 years at local and international shows. We stock Cheshire cheese from local producers Belton Cheese, Windsors and Applebys, all from Whitchurch.

We have fresh bread and cakes daily from a traditional baker in Holmes Chapel. There is usually some kind of tray bake or cupcakes made on our premises. We also have a range of savoury and fruit pies from Staffordshire.

We prepare and cook our own meats; turkey, several types of roast Ham and beef, all sold from the deli counter. We also make our own quiches, pates, and prepare our own coleslaw, potato and fruit salads. And whilst coffee beans cannot really be called local, we are one of the only retailers locally roasting from green beans and grinding coffee on the premises. We try to offer a fairly traded coffee bean. We also stock Divine Chocolate.

In these days of the mass produced and supermarket led shopping experience we have had to find ways of keeping our existing customers happy whilst trying to entice in new customers. We pride ourselves on stocking more cheese than most supermarkets can carry often at a better price, giving a better service, where customers are known by name and can chat to our friendly staff about their needs.
